Ingredients: Organic Sprouted Quinoa
The process of sprouting activates the natural enzymes within and conveniently boosts vitamin content. This technique then softens the grains which makes them suitable to be eaten raw. Quinoa is a type of food that has a low glycemic index and is a complete protein. With all the goodness this sprout can provide, making it a part of your everyday meals is a definite plus. Preparing it is a simple task even for novice chefs. It will be ready in a matter of minutes. This TruRoots Organic Sprouted Quinoa is a non-GMO verified, heart healthy whole grain. It is also certified to be kosher.
Directions: Combine 1/2 cup truRoots sprouted quinoa with 1 cup water or broth in a pot. Bring to a boil. Turn heat on low, cover and cook for 15 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes, fluff with fork and serve. Quinoa is cooked when each grain is translucent and white germ is visible. Serves 2. To use as fresh, raw sprouts, soak in warm water for 35-40 minutes or until desired crunchiness is achieved.
Since 2009, truRoots organic, whole grain, sprouted and unsprouted products have combined ancient traditions with modern convenience. The truRoots brand was founded on the philosophy that people should understand not only what’s in their food, but where that food comes from. That’s why truRoots forges personal connections with farmers and supports techniques that are rooted in tradition. These commitments have helped truRoots become a leader in the whole grains and sprouted foods category.
