Taco Wonton Recipe
This is a simply delicious and very easy appetizer to make! 15 minutes for 15 taco wantons and server as appetizers and hors d'oeuvres at a party will make any part or get together that much classier. It's crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside, it'll be a party favorite every time.
- 1 cup diced chicken
- 1/4 cup corn
- 1/4 cup green onion
- 1tsp of Taco Seasoning
- 1 wedge of lemon
- 2 cups of oil or less depends on pot size
- 15 whole Wonton Wraps
- 1 ounce, Cheese Shredded
- Guacamole And Salsa, To Serve
Cook diced chicken with corn, green onions, squirt of lemon wedge and Taco Seasoning in 1tsp of oil.
Drain and let cool
In a tiny bowl, add some water. This is for sealing the edges of your wontons.
Place 1 teaspoon of chicken mixture into a wrapper and top with a pinch of cheese. Take your finger, dip in water, and run your wet finger along the edges of the wrapper (this will be the glue to seal the wrappers together). Fold wrapper over into a triangle and place on the baking sheet. Do the same for the rest of the wrappers.
Heat remaining oil. Add wontons depending on your pot size do in batches. Don't overcrowd pan.
Fry till golden. Place on paper towel lined plate. This will remove excess oil.
Serve with Garnishing of choice Guacamole, Sour Cream, or salsa.
Makes 15 taco wontons.
