LA Weekly: The Essentials
This past Sunday, March 26, LA Weekly hosted the event The Essentials at the California Market Center here in Los Angeles. This event showcased over 50 of Los Angeles' essential restaurants and wineries. They were on hand serving and showing off the dishes that put them on the culinary map, pairing with wine tasting from over 20 of the best coastal wineries. In addition, they also featured the Freshmen 15, which are up-and-coming places that can be considered for a spot in the 99 Essentials issue. The Freshman 15 showcase was available to VIP ticket holders.
For those of you new to Milk and Eggs, we are a farm to door grocery service. When you place your order, the produce is still in the ground at the farm. So the farmer will pick it, it'll go to the warehouse, then be delivered to your door within 36 hours. Santa's little helper insists, this is the perfect recipe for any seasonal spread! With foods straight from the farm to your door, how can it not be the perfect gift!
We love being part of the community and had the pleasure of being part of The Essentials event! We provided fresh samples of what we carry from coffee to fresh fruits and vegetables. The event was a huge success. There were 2,000 people at this great event. And we had a blast connecting with everyone there.
We featured a photo booth with a vespa and groceries. We had a huge line for the photo booth. At one point, there were 50 people in line, which was amazing. If you went to our photo booth, we hope you enjoyed it!
We also gave out 1800 bags. Everyone who got one loved our bags! Also, there was the option to Grab an Egg for a chance to win a gift card, free delivery, or a 40% discount! We are grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth.
Here at Milk and Eggs we feel it is important for people to know where their food comes from and to look for healthier alternatives. We completely understand with the hustle and bustle that is Los Angeles and its neighboring cities, it can be difficult to find time to go to the grocery store. It's too easy to reach for fast-food. We want to provide our community a different kind of fast-food: the kind that comes from the farm, straight to your door.
We are more than just a delivery service, though. We are also food lovers that enjoy connecting to other food lovers! We do our best to introduce new local companies that make local foods. To food lovers, feel free to browse and give your taste buds a treat!
Events like this make it possible to be face-to-face with our community, as opposed to merely dropping off an order in the wee hours of the morning. We look forward to seeing you all at our next event! It is always a pleasure to see you face-to-face. As always, thank you for your support and for stopping by!
