The Perfect Fruits You Can Eat After Your Workout
Do you train with weights, run or do body-weight exercises or walk a lot? If you exercise regularly, then you should eat some fruit 30 minutes after your workout. Don't just reach for any fruit though, as some are better than others.

Bananas
After you workout, whether it's with weights, running or general exercise, then you should consume good carbohydrates. Bananas are packed with good carbs. When you eat a banana after you have worked out, you will restore glycogen levels in your body, and this is good because it helps repair damaged muscles. Not only that, but bananas contain potassium, which offers you additional benefits. Bananas are versatile too, which means there are various ways you can eat them. Feel free to eat them on their own, or you can slice them up and add them to your favorite cereal or use them as toppings for your pancakes and so forth.

Blueberries
Blueberries contain antioxidants, and eating blueberries provides you with benefits, such as possibly lowering blood pressure, reduce risk of heart disease and improve memory to name a few. However, eating them after working out can be very beneficial too. They can help speed up the rate of your recovery after very intense workout sessions. In fact, there are studies that show this.

Pineapples
This fruit contains a natural anti-inflammatory called bromelain. This means eating pineapples can help heal swelling, sprains and bruises. Asides from that, pineapples are a great source of vitamin C, which plays a big role in repairing tissue, which is exactly what you want after you have worked out, regardless if you did a weight training session or some sort of cardio workout.

Kiwis
When people think of food they should eat after working out, usually kiwi doesn't come to mind, but it should. This fruit contains a lot of potassium and vitamin C, and best of all, you can enjoy those nutrients by eating a tiny serving of kiwi. Just like blueberries, kiwi is a great source for antioxidants, which can help fight against muscle soreness that you commonly get after working out. Also, you should consider eating the skin of the fruit because it contains many nutrients.

If you want to get the most from your post-workouts, then consume some bananas, blueberries, pineapples or kiwis. There are other fruits you can eat as well, such as oranges or strawberries, but these ones have been shown to have the best impact.
